Relíquies de família
Al fons de caixetes i canteranos anaren a parar faldes, faldetes, gipons, calçons amb bufes, armilles i moltes altres peces de la indumentària històrica mallorquina. De tietes, padrines, repadrines, de generació en generació. Com també les peces de randa o ganxet elaborades manualment per les dones de la família.
Per altra banda, dels botons, cordonets i antigalles se’n han fet modernitats o relíquies com joiells, anells o arracades. En canvi, les peces de vestir, llençols i teixits quedaren emmagatzemades, perdudes o emprades per a pedaços d’espolsar. La societat canvia i amb ella les modes. El que abans es reutilitzava, passava de generació en generació o s’emprava amb el seu màxim ús, ha canviat. Els nostres telers i teixits mallorquins, com el drap, el cotó, la llista, el fil, entre altres, ha quedat en desús en la nostra vestimenta diària. Amb aquesta petita reflexió i pensament neix l’idea d’elaborar una col·lecció càpsula amb peces úniques que ens transporten al passat d’una manera més actual i moderna. Art i tradició en peces de disseny sostenibles i personalitzades.

At the end of trunks and chests, skirts, small skirts, bodices, puffy underpants, vests, and many other pieces of Mallorcan historical clothing were stored. On the other hand, buttons, cords, and trinkets were turned into modern jewelry or kept as relics, such as rings or earrings. In contrast, garments, bedsheets, and fabrics were stored, lost, or used as dusting rags. Society changes, and with it, fashion. What used to be reused, passed down from generation to generation, or used to its fullest extent has changed. Our Mallorcan looms and fabrics, such as wool, cotton, stripes, and thread, among others, have fallen out of use in our daily clothing. With this small reflection and thought, the idea of creating a capsule collection with unique pieces that transport us to the past in a more current and modern way was born.
