Camino
Col·lecció de moda inspirada en l’ètnia gitana. El que es vol projectar amb aquesta sèrie de peces és l’origen, el costum i el sentir del dissenyador. Per poder desenvolupar la col·lecció procedirem a fer una investigació sobre els orígens del poble Zíngaro i les seves diferents rutes migratòries fins a establir-se a diferents països, prenent Romania com un assentament rellevant del poble nòmada i finalment centrant-nos en els gitanos que van arribar a la Península Ibèrica.
D’altra banda, s’analitza el tracte que se’ls dóna per part de la premsa i els programes de televisió que reflecteixen una imatge no real de la societat gitana. Per contra, el tractament dels gitanos al món de l’art va ser positiu en relació amb el punt anterior i gràcies a aquestes manifestacions artístiques podem obtenir una imatge de com vestien i com vivien durant la seva història. En conclusió, Camino és un reflex personal del dissenyador, amb una visió pròpia i diferent del que es coneix sobre aquesta comunitat.

A fashion collection inspired by the Romani ethnicity. The aim of this series of garments is to showcase the designer’s personal interpretation of the origin, customs, and essence of the Romani people. To develop the collection, we conducted research on the origins of the Romani people and their various migratory routes until they settled in different countries, with a particular focus on Romania as a significant settlement for this nomadic community.
We also examined the portrayal of the Romani people in the media and television programs, which often present an inaccurate image of Romani society. In contrast, the treatment of Romani people in the world of art has been more positive, allowing us to gain insights into how they dressed and lived throughout history. In conclusion, Camino represents the designer’s personal reflection and a unique perspective on the Romani community, challenging preconceived notions and providing a fresh understanding.
