Tramat
Aquest projecte neix com a conseqüència de la inadecuada adaptabilitat de l’edifici històric La Misericòrdia a l’actualitat i als usuaris. La Biblioteca de Cultura Artesana es perd entre el frondós jardí i, degut aquest malgut fet, queda desconnectada del seu propi entorn, convertida en un dipòsit de llibres i arxius poc amable amb la gent que hi forma part de manera quotidiana. Tramat proposa un nou recorregut cultural que es centra en la pròpia experìencia de l’usuari amb un espai que els incita a connectar i gaudir de l’ambient, la proximitat i calidesa que genera la nova biblioteca. El cor del projecte el compon l’entramat de fusta que revasteix l’interior mimetitzant-se amb la resta de l’espai. En conclusió, Tramat tracta de la unificació, no parlant tan sols d’estils i materials, si no de l’espai i qui el recorre.

This project arises as a consequence of the inadequate adaptability of the historic building La Misericòrdia to modern times and users. The Biblioteca de Cultura Artesana is lost among the lush garden and, due to this unfortunate fact, is disconnected from its own surroundings, becoming an unfriendly book and archive repository for those who use it on a daily basis. Tramat proposes a new cultural experience that focuses on the user’s own experience with a space that encourages them to connect and enjoy the ambiance, proximity, and warmth that the new library generates. The heart of the project is composed of the wooden lattice that covers the interior, blending in with the rest of the space. In conclusion, Tramat aims to unify, not only in terms of styles and materials, but also in terms of the space and those who walk through it.
