Reforma estació ferrocarril Sóller
Sempre escoltem que no s’hauria de jutjar un llibre per la seva portada, però els edificis són jutjats segons la seva façana. La reforma de l’Estació del Ferrocarril de Sóller és un projecte que neix de la necessitat d’unir l’espai amb els ideals de l’empresa que la regenta. L’objectiu és enaltir un edifici oblidat i crear una afluència d’usuaris que gaudeixin de tot el potencial que amaga aquesta edificació del segle XVII. El concepte de la proposta neix de la pròpia arquitectura i els interiors.
L’estil modernista que reflecteix l’edifici es pren com a concepte en el projecte per la seva connexió en diferents àmbits amb el ferrocarril, la seva història, l’art de Joan Miró i en definitiva Sóller. L’usuari per al qual es concep la proposta és sumament variat. L’objectiu és que aquest sigui atret per la qualitat espacial i pugui gaudir d’una experiència completa podent accedir a diferents serveis on l’art sigui el protagonista: cafeteria, restaurant, estació, oficina i hotel. En definitiva, es proposa unir les diferents funcions i estances de forma que totes conformin un únic espai expositiu. Com a resum, la reforma de l’Estació del Ferrocarril de Sóller és una aposta per l’art, per unir exterior amb interior, idea amb espai i demostrar que un edifici no és solament una façana.

We always hear that we shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, but buildings are judged by their facade. The renovation of the Sóller Railway Station is a project born out of the need to unite the space with the ideals of the company that runs it. The objective is to enhance a forgotten building and create an influx of users who can enjoy all the potential hidden within this 17th-century edifice.
The proposal’s concept is based on the building’s modernist architecture and interiors, reflecting its connection with the railway, Joan Miró’s art, and ultimately, Sóller. The proposed space is intended to attract a diverse range of users who can enjoy a complete experience, accessing different services such as a café, restaurant, station, office, and hotel, where art is the protagonist. In summary, the renovation of the Sóller Railway Station is a commitment to art, uniting the exterior with the interior, ideas with space, and demonstrating that a building is more than just a facade.
